The inaugural season of the Euro League Baseball, the first professional baseball league in European Baseball, is scheduled to start on Tuesday evening. The Buchbinder Legionaere Regensburg from the German Baseball-Bundesliga travel to Draci Brno of the Czech Extraleague. The game will be played at 7pm at MBS Stadium in Brno. Game two follows on Wednesday, also at 7pm. The Munich-Haar Disciples and Amsterdam Baseball will enter the competition later this spring.

Founded last year independently of international, continental and national federations, the Euro League Baseball first consisted of ten teams, but got reduced to four debuting clubs for the inaugural campaign. It is kind of a soft opening for professional baseball in Europe. The organizers have high hopes and now need to transfer these dreams and visions into reality.
