The Softball European Cups are nearly finished. On Friday the European Cup concluded its preliminary round with DES Caserta, Dornbirn Sharx, Tex Town Tigers and Mannheim Tornados moving up. In the first two games of the Page System Playoffs, Caserta beat the Tigers to reach the championship game. The Sharx will play Tex Town this afternoon to determine the opponent after last year’s champion beat the Tornados. In the Cupwinners Cup Sparks Haarlem defeated Terrasvogels in the Dutch duel and advanced to the final. Terrasvogels now will play Fiorini Forli in the third-place game, their second chance to get into the title game. Forli had beaten Moskovia Marino to finish at least in the top three.
