The 40-year-old former outfielder Enrico Vecchi is the new manager of the Italian Baseball League club Montepaschi Grosseto. He succeeds Ruggero Bagialemani, who had declined options for 2011 and 2012 in November and parted ways from the Orioles. Vecchi played in a total of 441 games (between 1988 and 1998) in the Serie A, 354 of them for Grosseto. He won the championship with Grosseto in 1989 and reached the Italian Series again with Rimini in 1998. The rest of the coaching staff will be completed these days.
