Slovenia also won their second game at the Qualifier in Prague. They broke a 3-3 tie in the fifth and used a six-run eighth to defeat Belarus 11-3. Jaka Serbec was two-for-five with a homerun, a double and two RBI. Klemen Gajzer also drove in two. Alessio Miani and Uros Rudolf each scored twice.
Francesco Miani (W 1-0) started and allowed three unearned on five hits in a complete game victory. He struck out four. Andrei Paplauski (L 0-1) gave up eleven hits, eight runs (6 ER) and two walks in seven-plus innings.

The Czech National Team didn’t waste time against Poland. They used an eight-run first en route to an easy 12-1 victory. Simon Kudernatsch reached base three times, scored twice, stole two bases and drove in two. Petr Baroch, Eduard Mraz and Tomas Polansky also had two RBIs.
Radek Prochazka (CZE) started and struck out six in four one-hit innings. Jan Rehacek (W 1-0) picked up the win after five strikeouts in two relief innings. Mateusz Piatek (L 0-1) just got one out in the first, before leaving the mound. He was charged with four hits, six runs and a walk.
