Israel moved their record to 2-2 with a 2-1 extra inning victory against Lithuania. Amit Kurz scored the winning run in the bottom of the tenth on a fielding error by third baseman Audrius Beliauskas. Lithuania had taken a 1-0 lead in the first, when Tomas Jankoitis scored on a wild pitch. Asaf Rothem tied the game in the second with a RBI single.
Shlomo Lipetz (W 2-0) allowed four hits, one run and three walks in a complete game victory. He struck out six. Kazimieras Glaveckas (L 0-1) also went the distance and was charged with eight hits, two runs (1 ER) and four bb in 9 2/3 innings.
Croatia – Bulgaria 7-6

Slobodan Gales’ homerun in the bottom of the sixth led Croatia to a 7-6 win against Bulgaria. It was the final point after an offensive exchange between the two teams in the first five frames. Matija Grofelnik also hit a homerun for Croatia. Damir Karin drove in two. Dimitar Nassapov hit a three-run homerun for Bulgaria. Yasen Nedelchev went three-for-five with two RBI.
Dejan Marin (CRO) was charged with seven hits, six runs and two walks in 4 2/3 innings. Gales (W 1-0) also made his marks on the mound, picking up the win after three innings of relief. Nedelchev (L 1-1) allowed eleven hits, seven runs (4 ER) and a bb in seven innings.
