Switzerland scored six runs in the fifth and nine in the sixth to dispatch Finland 16-3 to pick up their second win in two games at the Qualifier in Barcelona. Eleven different players picked up at least a run for the Swiss team. Tobias Imboden (W) allowed three hits, three runs (2 ER) and three bb in six innings. Timo Liiri (L) gave up seven runs (1 ER) on seven hits and three walks in 4 2/3 innings.

Spain needed just six hits to crush Hungary 16-0 in five innings on Tuesday at Montjuic. Eight runs in the fifth led to the early ending due to 15-run mercy rule. Franklin Tavarez drove in four. Daniel Figueroa and Daniel Sanchez scored three runs apiece. Eric Gonzalez (W) and Lowuin Sacramento issued a combined two hits in five otherwise perfect innings. Peter Gyurcsek (L) surrendered four hits, eight runs (2 ER) and four bb in three innings.
