T&A San Marino beat L&D Amsterdam 1-0 in ten innings in semi-final number one on Wednesday in Brno, Czech Republic to reach the final at the 2011 European Champions Cup Final Four. A sac fly by Wuilliuans Vasquez in the bottom of the tenth inning broke the scoreless tie and decided the outcome in favor of the freshly crowned Italian Baseball League champion in his duel with his counterpart of the Dutch Hoofdklasse. Henry Bonilla (SMA) and Rob Cordemans (AMS) exchanged zeroes in the beginning, as neither starting pitcher backed down. Bonilla allowed just five hits and a walk in eight innings. Cordemans struck out nine and issued only three hits and a base on balls in nine frames. Darwin Cubillan (W) picked up the win in relief. Al Morales (L) took the loss.
Unipol Bologna – Cariparma Parma 2-3

In an all-Italian matchup Cariparma Parma edged out defending champion Unipol Bologna 3-2 in the second semi-final on Wednesday, joining the Titans in the finals. In another game dominated by the pitchers, both teams only were able to score in one frame. Parma scored three times in the fifth thanks to a wild pitch and RBIs by Davide Dallospedale and Rodney Medina. Bologna tried to come back in the seventh. But after plating two runs on RBIs by Livinston Santaniello and Gabriele Ermini, Joe Mazzuca fouled out with two outs and the bases loaded. Marco Grifantini (W) allowed four hits, two runs and four walks in 6 1/3 innings for the win. Jesus Matos (L) was charged with the loss after six frames, seven hits, three runs and a bb.
