Schwaz Tigers – AS Spartakos Glyfadas 8-7
A one-out bases loaded walk by Peter Nagiller in the bottom of the ninth secured the Schwaz Tigers an 8-7 win over Spartakos Glyfadas on Wednesday at the European Cup Qualifier in Antwerp, Belgium. Before that AS had scored five runs in the last three frames to erase a 2-7 deficit and to tie the game on a RBI groundout by Michael Kalis in the top of the ninth. Franz Haisjackel had three hits and three RBI for the Tigers.
Nada SSM Split – Technika Brno 4-14 (7)
Technika Brno picked up win number three on the third day of the tournament, crushing Nada SSM 14-4 in seven innings. The Czech club opened the game with eight runs in the first and cruised to an easy victory afterwards. Ryan Murphy homered and scored three times for Brno. Martin Stritecky (W 1-0) went the distance for the win. He allowed five hits, four runs (3 ER) and four bb in seven innings.
BK Vojvode – Port of Antwerp Greys 5-12
Host Port of Antwerp Greys scored five runs in the first frame en route to a 12-5 win over BK Vojvode on Wednesday. Four players got two RBIs each. Dave Herssens scored three times for the Greys. Yon Vischschoonmaker (W 1-0) issued five hits, four runs (3 ER) and two bb in five innings. Adrian Perelizhniy and Nikola Vucevic had three hits apiece for Vojvode. Aleksandar Berec (L 0-1) took the loss.
