On Friday afternoon they scored five runs in the second and didn’t stop there to down the team of manager Eric Gagne. France dropped to 1-3 in the final round, the Dutch improve to 4-0.

The French squad got within three runs thanks to a pair of home runs of Rene Leveret. But overall they had no chance against the Netherlands. Curt Smith and Gianision Boekhoudt went deep and combined for five RBI. Sharlon Schoop and Hainley Statia also collected two RBI apiece.

Meanwhile Diegomar Markwell gave up nine hits, five runs and a walk in seven innings to pick up the win. Kevin Kelly and Orlando Yntema closed out the game.

France had split two games against the Netherlands in the Yoshida Challenge warming up for the European Championship. It was their first win over the Dutch in history. However on Friday in Brno they weren’t able to do much. Leveret was the exception with two long balls and four RBI. Felix Brown also had two hits.

On the mound Leonel Cespedes got charged with the loss, surrendering ten hits, ten runs (8 ER) and two base on balls in four innings. Enrqiue Juma Trinidad, Thomas Langloys and Dan Camou also got in the game.
