Telemarket Rimini – Draci Brno 4-10
Draci Brno upset the previously undefeated Telemarket Rimini 10-4 at the European Cup in Barcelona, Spain on Friday morning. Eight runs in the fourth and the fifth decided the outcome and put the reigning Czech champion on track towards the win. With a 3-1 record both teams remain on the top of the standings, while Brno earns the tiebreaker.
Jakub Hajtmar and Zachary Samuels had the big hits with a two-run single and a three-run double. Samuels and Tomas Polansky combined to score six of the ten Draci runs. Michal Bren scored twice and drove in two. Adolfo Gomez had four hits for Rimini. Pierangelo Cit scored twice. Petr Minarik earned the win, allowing seven hits, two runs and three walks in seven innings. Alessandro Norri took the loss, giving up four hits, three runs and a base on balls in 3 2/3 frames.
