The Netherlands won its fourth game at the European Championship, when they beat Belgium 10-0. Bas de Jong put the team of Jim Stoeckel ahead with a solo homerun in the second. Six runs between the fifth and the seventh, five of them trough homeruns by Dirk van’t Klooster and Eugene Kingsale blew things wide open.
On the mound Kevin Heijstek (W 1-0) got the win, allowing just four hits and a walk in eight scoreless innings. He was opposed by Tom Lorrentop (L 0-1), who did a nice jobs in the beginning, but lost his rhythm in the fifth. He issued nine hits, five runs and a bb in 4 1/3 innings overall.
