On Sunday the 16th edition of the Canada Cup ended in Surrey, British Columbia with Team USA winning the title with a 3-2 victory in the finals over Canada. The Dutch Women Softball Team also participated as the lone European squad. The team won twice against Venezuela (3-1, 4-2) during preliminary round for a 2-6 record. In the second round they lost against TSF International (1-6) and Venezuela (0-7) and the tournament ended due to the double elimination format. They will stay in North America, as they will travel to Oklahoma City for the 4th Softball World Cup, which will be held at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium from July 16 to 20. In the tournament they will face Italy, Team USA, Australia, Japan and Canada. ESPN America will broadcast selected games, starting with Netherlands versus USA on Friday morning at 2am CET.
