After their extra-inning shutout from Thursday, DOOR Neptunus once again held the Konica Minolta Pioniers scoreless on Saturday afternoon in a 3-0 win. The club from Rotterdam can sweep the semi-final series in the Dutch Hoofdklasse tomorrow. Leon Boyd (W 1-0) got the starting nod from Steve Jansen, allowing just five hits and three walks in six innings to pick up the win. Jorian van Acker, Berry van Driel and Dushan Ruzic closed it out.
Eugene Kingsale broke the scoreless tie in the bottom of the fifth, when he drove in Shaldimar Daantji with a double to right center. Neptunus added two more runs in the seventh on a two-run single by Benjamin Dille. Jurjen van Zijl (L 0-1) took the loss after conceding six hits, three runs and two bb in 6 1/3 frames. The Pioniers had their best scoring opportunity in the top of the first, when they loaded the bases with two outs. But Mark-Jan Moorman popped out to third baseman Raily Legito to end the threat.

Corendon Kinheim tied their semi-final series against L&D Amsterdam with an 8-7 nail-biter on Saturday afternoon. After the Pirates had taken an early 4-1-lead after three frames, Kinheim came back and got up in front 6-5 with three runs in the sixth. Both teams scored twice until the end, but Corendon prevailed, when Vince Rooi struck out with Nick Urbanus at second in the bottom of the ninth to end the game.
Jason Halman homered and doubled to drive in four for Kinheim. Rene Cremer and Niels van Weert picked up three hits and two runs each. Wesley Connor hit a solo homerun for Amsterdam. Rooi and Roeland Henrique crossed the plate twice. Duko Jansen (W 1-0) issued seven hits, six runs and a walk in 7 1/3 innings, receiving the win. Ben Grover (L 0-1) surrendered eleven hits, six runs (3 ER) and two bb in 5 2/3 innings.
