Defending champion DOOR Neptunus defeated the Konica Minolta Pioniers 8-0 on Sunday afternoon to sweep the semi-final series 3-0 and to advance to the Holland Series. It was their seven straight shutout dating back to the last four games in the regular season. Kevin Heijstek (W 1-0) allowed just two hits and three bb in seven innings. Jorian van Acker and Berry van Driel closed it out with a pair of perfect frames. Danny Rombley went 3-for-4 with a homerun, two runs and three RBI. Shaldimar Daantji scored twice too. Arshwin Asjes (L 0-2) gave up ten hits, five runs and three bb in 4 2/3 innings to take a second loss in the series.

L&D Amsterdam is back in the lead in their best-of-five semi-final series against Corendon Kinheim after a 6-4 win on Sunday. A RBI triple by Wesley Connor and a two-run double by Bas de Jong in the top of the ninth lifted the Pirates to the victory. Kinheim had broken a 3-3 tie with a RBI single by Rodney Michel in the eighth. Jason Halman went 3-for-4 with a homerun and two RBI for Corendon. Jos de Jong (AMS) issued eight hits, three runs (2 ER) and three bb in 6 1/3 innings. Patrick Beljaards (KIN) conceded nine hits, three runs and a walk in seven frames. Al Morales (W 1-0) received the win, Michiel van Kampen the loss.
