The Royal Dutch Baseball and Softball Association (KNBSB) has released the roster for the Women’s Softball European Championship in Rosmalen. 18 players have been invited by coaches Tracy Bunge and Juni Francisca. One player needs to be cut prior to the tournament, which will be played from July 19 to 25 at the Gryphons complex.
The roster features star players Lindsey Meadows, Saskia Kosterink, Karin Tuk and Britt Vonk among others. However due to their assignment in the National Pro Fastpitch league playing for former Netherlands manager Craig Montvidas, Dagmar Bloeming and Virginie Anneveld are absent from the roster.
Prior to their opening day matchup against Germany on July 19 at 8pm, the Netherlands will meet for training camp on July 14 and will be playing exhibition games against Brabant and Russia on July 17 and 18. Bunge and Francisca will be assisted by Karen Marr, Marcel Schippers and Mary-Ann Hatt on the coaching staff.
