Diegomar Markwell (W) led DOOR Neptunus to a 7-0 shutout on Thursday night in the semi-finals of the Dutch Hoofdklasse. The national teamer allowed just five hits and three walks in nine scoreless innings. He struck out four. At the plate Tom Brice and Shaldimar Daantji were the main producers with five RBI combined. Jos de Jong (L) issued eight hits, seven runs (5 ER) and three bb in 6 2/3 innings.

The Vaessen Pioniers edged out Corendon Kinheim 4-3 in ten innings on Thursday to move into sole possession of first place in the semi-final round. The game was decided with the IBAF Extra Inning Rule. Vaessen scored three runs in the top of the frame. Kinheim only was able to counter with two in the bottom half. Jan Rehacek (W) struck out five batters in 2 2/3 innings of strong relief. David Bergman (L) pitched 9 2/3 innings, giving up five hits, four runs (2 ER) and two bb, striking out nine.
