Joey Eijpe (W 1-0) threw a no-hitter in game one of the playdowns series between Mr. Cocker HCAW and the Almere Magpies. He allowed just one run on three walks in nine strong innings to lead the club from Bussum to a 3-1 win. He struck out eleven. A three-run homerun by Wuilliuans Vasquez in the bottom of the third was all run support he needed. Dennis Burgersdijk (L 0-1) surrendered six hits, three runs and four bb in six innings for the loss.

Sparta/Feyenoord beat ADO in game one of their playdowns series by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. A RBI single by Berry Donselaar in the bottom of the sixth broke a 1-1 tie and decided the outcome. Rudy Seebus (W 1-0) allowed eight hits, an unearned run and five bb in eight innings. Bobby Carrington (L 0-1) conceded seven hits, two unearned runs and four walks in seven frames. He struck out nine.
