According to Honkbalsite.com 18-year-old Dutch pitcher Misja Harcksen is going to sign a contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers. He is the second European pitcher to sign with the storied franchise in 2013 after Germany’s Sven Schuller did the same earlier this year. The Rotterdam-native made his Hoofdklasse debut for champion DOOR Neptunus this year. In eight innings through two games (one start) he issued eight hits, a run and no walks, while striking out two. He mostly pitched for Neptunus’ farm team the Tridents. During the KNBSB Gala at the beginning of the month he was named best youth pitcher and got awarded with the Roel de Mon Award.
