The round-robin semi-finals in the Dutch Hoofdklasse continued with two games on Saturday afternoon. DOOR Neptunus remained on course, winning their second game by a score of 5-1 against L&D Amsterdam. Orlando Yntema issued six hits, a run and three walks in seven innings. Raily Legito and Dwayne Kemp combined for nine hits and three RBI. Legito also hit a home run. Jos de Jong took the loss.
The Vaessen Pioniers won 5-3 against Corendon Kinheim thanks to a pair of runs in the bottom of the tenth. Mark Duursma drove in the winning run with a sac fly. A bases loaded walk by Vince Rooi had tied the contest. Kinheim had sent the game into extra innings after evening the score on Jeffrey Arends RBI single in the ninth.
