After the Dutch Hoofdklasse finally got underway last weekend, four games of week two were played on Thursday. Curacao Neptunus improved to 4-0 for the season with a 9-1 win over HCAW. Diegomar Markwell and three relievers kept the team from Bussum to one hit and one run in the game with eight walks. Dudley Leonora went deep and combined with Dwayne Kemp to drive in six runs.
In other games DSS and the Hoofddorp Pioniers settled for a 3-3 tie after ten innings. DSS had turned a 0-2 deficit into a 3-2 lead in the top of the eighth, but Hoofddorp tied the game in the bottom half of the frame. L&D Amsterdam scored a run in the bottom of the eighth to edge out the De Glaskoning Twins 3-2. Linoy Croes drove in two and scored the game-winner. In a high-scoring affair Quick Amersfoort downed the Silicon Storks 11-8.
