On Sunday the Czech Baseball Cup Final Four tournament ended without a surprise. Like in 2007 Draci Brno didn’t allow their opponent to shine in the final game and the cup for the winner remains in Brno. The tournament started on Friday with Draci beating the Patriots 18-3 and Express defeating Technika 8-4, making a big step towards the finals.

To be honest the participation of the Liberec Patriots in the Final Four was a big sensation and expectations were, that Patriots is going to lose all games. On the other side everybody anticipated that Draci will advance into the final, with the chance for an upset by Express or Technika in Saturday’s games.

And this was the case. The morning games were won by Express against Draci 4-1 and in another morning match Technika beat the Patriots 13-3. In the afternoon the games didn’t brought any more surprises with Express beating the Patriots 8-3 and Draci celebrating a lopsided 16-1 victory versus Technika, giving way for Sunday’s final of MZLU Express Brno against AVG Draci Brno.

On Sunday Draci didn’t mess around and smashed Express 12-2 to win the Czech Cup.
