Donald Lutz is back in the Australian Baseball League. Returning to the field for real-game action for the first time since injuring his elbow at the end of April, the German outfielder/first baseman debuted for the Brisbane Bandits on Thursday by going 1-for-4 in a 1-5 loss (Box score, Video) to the Sydney Blue Sox. Playing DH and batting third behind Andrew Campbell and Riley Unroe, Lutz reached first base in the first on fielding error and singled on a fly ball in his fourth at-bat in the ninth. He struck out looking in his other two plate appearances in the game.
