Dominican Team wins Caribbean Series 2010

2010 Caribbean SeriesLeones del Escogido from the Dominican Republic has won the 2010 edition of the Caribbean Series on Margarita Island, Venezuela. They defeated Leones del Caracas on Sunday 7-4 to clinch their third title in team history and the 18th for a Dominican club. Escogido won five of the six games this week en route to the championship. Puerto Rico’s Indios de Mayaguez finished in second place with four wins. Naranjeros de Hermosillo took third. Mets prospect Fernando Martinez received the MVP award batting .348 with two homeruns and four RBI.

  3. Naranjeros de Mayaguez 2-4
  4. Leones del Caracas 1-5
