It was a quite winter in Dohren. But now that the first game day in the German Baseball-Bundesliga is in the books, we have learned who has filled the foreign player spots. Jeff Rustico and Garrett Rogers succeed Tyson Jaquez and Vince DeCoito. Rustico is a 25-year-old catcher from Plantsville, Connecticut, who went to American International College and played in the Canadian American Association last year. Rogers is 21 years old and from Coral Springs, Florida. The shortstop/pitcher attended Garrett Community College and played for the Portland Sea Dogs in the past. Both started with two losses into their German baseball career, as the Pulheim Gophers beat the Wild Farmers 13-3 and 10-5 on Sunday.
