Division de Honor Softball Results April 4/5

The Spanish Division de Honor Softball continued last weekend and the CBS ANTORCHA and CS VILADECANS picked up their wins three and four of the season to stay at the top of the standings. KIROLGI lost for the first time, as they split the twin bill with HERCULES HOSPITALET.

CBS Antorcha – Krafft San Sebastian 15-4, 4-0
In game one Raquel Suarez went three-for-three with a grand slam, three runs scored and six RBI total to lead ANTORCHA to a lopsided 15-4 win, which was highlighted by a eight-run third. In the second match Noelia Flores struck out seven in a three-hit shutout.

Dridma Rivas CdD – CS Viladecans 0-8, 3-13
Kimberly Jacobson went five scoreless innings, striking out seven to lead VILADECANS to an 8-0 shutout in the first game. Sara Gomez, Jessica Iborra and Teresa Sanjuan hit triples in a 13-3 victory in game two.

Hercules Hospitalet – Kirolgi OBB 1-11, 5-1
KIROLGI OBB became the first team in Spain to collect win number five in the first part of the doubleheader against HERCULES. Ainara Larraza went three-for-four with three RBI. HOSPITALET fought back in the second match, winning 5-1. Kathleen Mielke had two hits, stole three bases, scored twice and drove in a run.
