Posted on December 19, 2007 by philipp

The German Baseball-Bundesliga team Haar Disciples announced the signing of left-handed pitcher and outfielder Clemens CICHOCKI. The 23-year-old was recently named MVP of the Austrian Baseball League (ABL) and played for the Superfund Wanderers in 2007.

CICHOCKI had a 10-1 record with an ERA of 2.52 in 13 games during the regular season. He struck out 58 in 78.2 innings pitched. He also hit .413 with seven doubles, 23 runs scored and 22 RBI. He and his team were eliminated in the playoffs and finished in fourth place in the ABL.

He was two years at the Eastern Oregon College in the United States and is a member of the Austrian national team. The Disciples coaching staff plans to use him as a reliever and an outfielder next season.
