Dirk van’t Klooster about to break Dutch All-Time Hit Record

Posted on July 3, 2014July 3, 2014 by philipp

Playing in his 22nd season in the Dutch Hoofdklasse veteran Dirk van’t Klooster of the Vaessen Pioniers is on the verge of breaking the all-time hit record of Marcel Joost according to Marco Stoovelaar of Grand Slam Stats & News. In 2002 he set the new mark at 1166 hits. After Tuesday’s three-hit performance against DOOR Neptunus, Van’t Klooster needs only ten more hits to reach Joost’s record. The Pioniers open a three-game series tonight against UVV. Afterwards the Hoofdklasse will be interrupted for two weeks due to the Haarlem Baseball Week.
