Decision for First Place in Elite League already made?

Posted on August 22, 2008 by philipp

This week the TEMPLIERS built up their lead in the standings to three games, as the French Baseball Federation accepted a protest by SENART against the result from their match versus ROUEN on August 10. The 2-5 loss was changed into a 9-0 win, which might have finalized the first four places before the last two doubleheaders this weekend. The HUSKIES appealed the ruling. Both teams will meet again this Sunday. A split between these two would erase any doubts anyway.

The federation also set the schedule for the upcoming playoffs, starting on August 31. Similar to the format in Italy, the top four teams will play a double round robin to determine the finalists.

Schedule Playoffs:
Sunday, August 31:
Senart – Savigny
Rouen – Montpellier

Sunday, September 7:
Montpellier – Senart
Savigny – Rouen

Sunday, September 14:
Senart – Rouen
Montpellier – Savigny

Sunday, September 21:
Savigny – Senart
Montpellier – Rouen

Sunday, September 28:
Senart – Montpellier
Rouen – Savigny

Sunday, October 5:
Rouen – Senart
Savigny – Montpellier
