Davide Dallospedale to retire. Pitchers confirmed in Parma.

Infielder Davide Dallospedale of Cariparma Parma, former captain of the Italian national team, has retired according to reports from Italy. He will follow his wife to Dallas, Texas and ends his active career following stops with Fortitudo Bologna, BBC Grosseto and Parma since 1998. In 2011 the 34-year-old was batting .306/.456/.387 in 38 games (37 starts).

Parma Baseball however also has positive news, as pitchers Marco Grifantini, Mihai Burlea and Justin Cicatello already are confirmed to come back in 2012. Also Alberto Varin of Redipuglia will join the team as backup catcher for Riccardo Bertagnon. Orlando Munoz will serve as hitting coach for the IBL1 and IBL2 teams. The club additionally tries to bring back Roberto Corradini.
