The Solingen Alligators have re-united Nick Renault with his catcher from 2012. David Selsemeyer is leaving the Haar Disciples and transfers to the northern division of the German Baseball-Bundesliga. The 22-year-old batted .205/.337/.241 in 24 games last season. Since 2007 he already has appeared in 141 games in the German top division, playing for the Fuerth Pirates, the Mannheim Tornados and the Disciples.
Selsemeyer is supposed to form the battery with Renault in game two each week, while Julian Steinberg will be behind the plate with Andre Hughes on the mound in game one. Solingen has made a big push this offseason, having also added Tanner Leighton, Markus Stryczek and Sascha Steffens besides Renault. Additionally Travis Bass is coming back for a second year in German Baseball.
