Bafinfos.com reports this week that shortstop Dany Scalabrini has left the reigning French champion Rouen Huskies. Both sides apparently couldn’t agree on an extension. The 32-year-old Canadian won three national titles since arriving in Rouen three years ago. Before that he played in his home country for the Capitales de Québec (2005-2006) and Les Indians de Sherbrooke (1998-2004). Scalabrini batted .320 (OBP .431/SLG .400) with eight doubles, 36 runs and 16 RBI in 25 games for the Huskies last season.
