Thanks to the uncertainty about the format for the Italian Baseball League in 2013, the hot stove in Italy’s offseason is developing very slowly this fall. Teams have to be patient since they have no idea at the moment how many foreign players they can use next year. Baseballmania.it is reporting on Wednesday that Danesi Nettuno is interested in the Venezuelan catcher Edwin Bellorin. The 30-year-old appeared in eight MLB games between 2007 and 2009 for the Colorado Rockies. In the minors and in independent league ball he had a batting line of .262/.309/.358 with 35 homeruns in 843 games. In October he began his tenth consecutive season in the Venezuelan Winter League.
