Vice champion Danesi Nettuno apparently is on the verge of adding former Major League infielder William Bergolla for the 2012 season in the Italian Baseball League. The 28-year-old Venezuelan batted .132/.132/.132 in 17 games for the Cincinnati Reds in 2005. Starting with the Reds in 2000, he moved on to the San Francisco Giants, Washington Nationals and Detroit Tigers organizations after 2006. He didn’t reach the big leagues again. This year he split time between the Tigers affiliates in the Florida State League and Eastern League. In the minors he had a batting line of .284/.334/.374 with 36 homeruns, 525 runs, 306 RBI and 192 stolen bases in 902 games.
