This week the Softball world was gathering in Cartagena, Colombia for its 26th Congress. On Friday a new executive committee was elected. It saw Dale McMann from Canada succeeding Don Porter (USA) as President of the International Softball Federation (ISF). Porter had been at the helm since 1987. McMann was unopposed after Porter and Warren Jones withdrew their candidature.

- Vice Presidents for Asia: Tan Ying (CHN), Taeko Utsugi (JPN)
- Vice Presidents for Europe: André van Overbeek (NED), Francesca Fabretto (ITA)
- Vice Presidents for Oceania: Rex Capil (NZL), Robert Steffy (GUA)
The ISF has merged with the International Baseball Federation (IBAF) into the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC).
