A group of officials from the Baseball Czech family – Umpires Baseball Czech, has launched a pioneering project of umpire-related tutorials, drills and rule-based situations to help Baseball Umpires with their preparation for the upcoming season. „We have planned this for a while now“, says Frantisek Pribyl, 2017 WBC umpire and a key protagonist of said miniseries; „the truth is, this Covid-19 crisis helped us speed up our efforts, because now is a fine time to bring some Baseball Umpiring light into the households of our folks. They need it more than ever“ concludes Pribyl. The authors of this project, Pribyl, Kaigl and Zidek plan to brush off numerous topics – from interesting plays, technique and conditioning drills, to actual video tutorials aiming to help viewers with the mastery of proper Umpire Footwork.
