In April the T-ball SUPERCUP will start. The project is organized by the Czech Baseball Association with the main goal, to increase the awareness of T-ball in the Czech Republic. The scope is for baseball or softball or school teams under 10 years. Already more than 50 teams are registered into the SUPERCUP which is divided into three levels.

The BRONZE SUPERCUP as basic level, starting in Czech baseball regions. It’s up to regional development manager to decide if BRONZE SUPERCUP will be a part of regular T-ball regional competition or if tournaments will be organized. BRONZE SUPERCUP is not promotional to higher level but the aim is to get a chance for school teams to play games against baseball or softball T-ball teams. Below you can find table with number of registered teams per region.

Southern Bohemia 7 teams
Southern Moravia 11 teams
Prague and Central Bohemia 8 teams
Northern Bohemia 2 teams
Northern Moravia 8 teams
Eastern Bohemia 6 teams
Vysocina 6 teams
Western Bohemia 5 teams
Total 53 teams

The SILVER SUPERCUP will be four tournaments during the weekends of May 29th – 30th and June 5th – 6th. Each “Little League” Region is organizing one tournament and teams are registering to the tournament based on their geographical location. SILVER SUPERCUP tournaments are open only for teams which participated in BRONZE SUPERCUP. The best four teams from each tournament, see below, will move up to the GOLDEN SUPERCUP.

Region Bohemia South Spalene Porici June 6th
Region Bohemia North Liberec May 29th
Region Moravia South Trebic May 29th – 30th
Region Moravia North Chocen TBD

The GOLDEN SUPERCUP is the final tournament for the best sixteen teams which were promoted from the SILVER SUPERCUP tournaments. The GOLDEN SUPERCUP is scheduled a week before the opening of the national championship in T-ball, June 12th till 13th in Prague (Tempo Titans facility). Saturday will be dedicated not only for T-ball games, but also Road Show, VIP slow pitch, Pitch, Hit & Run competitions will be organized. The main goal is to increase awareness among people and bring new talents to Czech Baseball.

More information about the SUPERCUP can be found on the official website http://superpohar.baseball.cz, but unfortunately only in Czech.
