Czech Semis: AVG Draci Brno with lopsided Wins over Eagles Prague

While Technika Brno lost a three-game series against the North Stars Moscow in the European Cup Playoff, AVG Draci Brno and the Eagles Prague opened their best-of-five semi-final series in the Czech Extraleague. In game one on Saturday Draci used big rallies in the second and sixth to crush the Eagles 16-6 in seven innings. Pat Ahearne received the win on the mound. Tomas Duffek took the loss. On Sunday Brno celebrated a 10-0 shutout to take a 2-0 lead in the series. Petr Minarik got hit by a ball at his hand in the second frame, but went the distance anyway. Martin Schneider hit a two-run homerun in the sixth.
