Czech Playoffs: Draci, Technika tied / Kotlarka one win away

In the Czech Playoffs the semi-finals started this past weekend. Draci Brno shut out Technika Brno 10-0 in game one thanks to a five-hitter by Petr Minarik. Premek Chroust and Michael Kremlacek hit home runs. However in game two on Sunday Technika prevailed 3-2. Jiri Marek decided the contest with his bases clearing triple in the fifth. John Hussey struck out seven for the win.

In the second series Kotlarka Prague is leading Arrows Ostrava 2-0. On Saturday Prague defeated Ostrava 11-3. Adam Matuska drove in three. Petr Sila and Mitchell Nilsson scored three times apiece. On Sunday Kotlarka celebrated a lopsided 17-7 win, scoring nine runs in the last two frames. Jakub Sladek hit a pair of home runs and drove in six. Nilsson added a grand slam. Petr Cech had three RBI for Arrows.
