Posted on October 15, 2010 by philipp

The best-of-five finals in the Czech Extraleague will continue and end this weekend with games three to possible five. AVG Draci Brno and Technika Brno split the first two games. Defending title holder AVG Draci won game one 2-1, winning a pitcher’s duel between foreign starting pitchers Pat Ahearne (DRA) and Ryan Murphy (TEC).

One day later Technika took an early 4-1 lead after four innings en route to a 5-1 win. Trevor Caughey allowed just one run in the opening frame, picking up the win. The Dragons had countered with Petr Minarik, Greg McCarthy and Wayne Ough on the mound. Head coach Arnost Nesnal said after the game that it was the worst performance by AVG Draci all season.
