Czech Finals: Draci Brno, Kotlarka Prague split first two games

The Czech Extraleague finals started with a split. Kotlarka Prague dominated Draci Brno 11-1 on Saturday. They scored eight runs in the first and cruised to an easy victory. Petr Baroch drove in three; Rubenagel Fuenmayor crossed the plate three times. Marek Cervenka pitched six innings for the win. Petr Minarik lasted just for two outs before being replaced in the first, conceding eight runs (3 ER) on two errors, two hits and four walks.

On Sunday Draci prevailed 5-2 to tie the best-of-five series. Prague took a 1-0 lead in the fourth, but Brno got in front in the fifth and added three insurance runs in the sixth to get on victory lane. Jakub Hajtmar and Premek Chroust had two RBI each, Chroust a home run. Martin Schneider allowed just one run on five hits in eight strong innings. Thomas Macy got charged for the loss.
