Three games were played in the Czech Extraleague on Friday evening. Arrows Ostrava defeated Hrosi Brno 7-6, scoring four runs in the bottom of the ninth to celebrate a thrilling comeback. Jakub Malik had a walk-off RBI double to decide the outcome. Shaun Chase homered for Ostrava. Petru Balan struck out 11 in six scoreless one-hit innings.
In a rematch of last year’s finals Kotlarka Prague won 7-5 against Draci Brno. After Draci tied the game at 3-3 in the bottom of the ninth, Kotlarka scored four runs in the top of the first extra inning to secure the win. Ryan John Battaglia went deep and drove in five runs. Marek Cervenka pitched ten innings for the win.
In the third game Skokani Olomouc scored seven runs in the last three innings to turn a 5-6 deficit into a 12-7 win over the Eagles Prague. Devon Ramirez and Matej Hejma hit home runs. Both combined for nine RBI in the game.
