The Czech Baseball Association recently announced the 2014 award winners in the Czech Extraleague. Alexander Derhak of reigning champion Draci Brno got named best batter. His teammate Martin Schneider received the honors for best player in the playoffs. Jakub Sladek of Kotlarka Prague got the trophy for hitting the most home runs, the same he got during the European Championship. Jake Rabinowitz of the Tempo Titans Prague picked up the best pitcher trophy. Tomas Junec of the Arrows Ostrava was the best young player in the league.
