Curacao Neptunus Rotterdam has added two new players to the Hoofdklasse roster. Former minor leaguer and Dutch national teamer Randolph Oduber has signed with the reigning champion. The 27-year-old played for the Netherlands in the 2013 World Baseball Classic, the 2014 European Championship and the 2015 Premier12.
In the US Oduber was a member of the Washington Nationals organization, but got released in early April. He was scheduled to arrive in Rotterdam this week according to a report by Honkbalsite.com.
Additionally Curacao Neptunus has brought the nephew of San Francisco Giants hitting coach Hensley Meulens to the Netherlands. The 19-year-old Shadrach Meulens already debuted for the club last weekend in their series against Pickles UVV.
