Summary
Zagreb moved into first place in Croatian baseball with a rain-delayed sweep of last year’s finalists, Nada Split, while Olimpija Karlovac lost a game to the downpour that seemed to cover the entirety of the Adriatic country on the Saturday. A day later, Medvednica finally opened its season against the reigning champions, but the additional delay appeared to have left the Bears’ bats sodden. With Karlovac playing only one game, Zagreb moved one-half a game ahead of the titleholders, while Split ran its losing streak to eight games, dating back to last season.
