Gauting Indians
The Gauting Indians, which started with six losses into the 2010 season, completed their roster with the arrival of new player/coach Andy Kropf. The 31-year-old American already played for the club in 2009 during the victory at the international tournament Open de Rouen. Besides coaching he is supposed to reinforce the team at third base and behind the plate. He played four seasons affiliated ball for the Detroit Tigers organization between 2000 and 2003, batting .257 (OBP .317/SLG .342) in 182 games. Kropf is the third new player after starting pitcher Kyle Kearcher and shortstop Kory Twede to join the Indians since the beginning of the season.
HSV Stealers
The HSV Stealers have found a replacement for Swedish starting pitcher Joakim Claesson, who is going to start into the season with his regular club in Stockholm this weekend. The team of head coach Jens Hawlitzky has signed the Canadian right-hander Corey Parsons to pitch for the Stealers this year. The 23-year-old former attendee of the Kwantlen University played for Team British Columbia during the World Baseball Challenge in Prince George last July, where the German National Team finished in second place behind Team USA.
