Copa del Rey now in Focus of Spanish Teams

Posted on July 17, 2009 by philipp

With the TENERIFE MARLINS capturing first place last weekend, defending the Spanish championship, the focus of the Division de Honor clubs now switches to the Copa del Rey. The tournament for the first four clubs in the standings, which will take place after the season ends, will determine the second European berth from Spain. The first three spots are already handed out. The fourth will be played out between four teams until season’s end. VIGO, BILBAO, EL LLANO and VILADECANS are separated by a mere 1.5 games. The last two mentioned clubs will meet this weekend in the suburbs of Barcelona. HALCONES and SAN INAZIO are at home.
