Compiègne, Bois-Guillaume battle for French Elite League Spot

Posted on October 23, 2009 by philipp

This weekend the best-of-three championship series in the French Nationale 1 League takes place in La Rochelle, France. The Woodchucks Bois-Guillaume and the Marlins de Compiègne will face each other with the winner, securing a spot in next year’s Elite League, replacing the relegated Arvernes de Clermont-Ferrand.

Bois-Guillaume also had reached the N1 finals last year, but lost against the Cougars Montigny. Compiègne was N1 vice champion in 2006 and 2007. During the regular season and in the playoff rounds, both clubs dominated their respective pools.
