Collegiate Baseball League Europe announces 2015 Schedule

With the confirmation of Amsterdam, CBLE’s schedule for 2015 was finalized today. The West Division will visit London, Sant Boi Barcelona and La Rochelle. The East Division will play its games in Vienna, Prague and Amsterdam. Both divisions will have their own bus, carrying their teams and staff across Europe. The West Division will leave Oosterhout to travel to London on July 6 in the morning to arrive in the evening. The East Division will leave Oosterhout to travel to Vienna on July 6 and will arrive on July 7 in the morning. On Saturday July 18, both divisions will return to Oosterhout.

In Oosterhout, both divisions will field their top players to play a West vs. East All Star Game on July 19. On July 20 the playoff games will start to determine which teams will play the Championship Game on July 24.

Each team will play 4 games in each city, facing both opponents home and away. The division standings after 12 games will determine the playoff schedule in Oosterhout.

The winners of both divisions will meet in a best of three series to qualify directly for the Championship Game. The loser will face the “Back Door” qualifier in a 1-game playoff to earn the second spot in the Championship Game.

Collegiate Baseball League Europe

Collegiate Baseball League Europe (CBLE) is the first and only wood bat summer league in the “Old World”. Founded in 2012, the league currently consists of 6 teams; La Rochelle Admirals, Amsterdam Bombers, London Cavaliers, Sant Boi Falcons of Barcelona, Praha Dragons and Vienna Emperors. The inaugural tournament was held in July 2012 and all games were played at Sportpark De Slotbosse Toren in CBLE’s hometown Oosterhout (NLD). In 2015, an East Division will be added to the league with London (GBR), Sant Boi Barcelona (ESP), La Rochelle (FRA) forming the West Division and Vienna (AUT), Prague (CZE) and Amsterdam (NLD) becoming the East Division. The Playoffs week and Championship Game will be played in CBLE’s hometown Oosterhout .
