Posted on May 2, 2011 by philipp

According to a report by Honkbalsite.com Mr. Cocker HCAW has replaced starting pitcher Roger Luque with fellow Venezuelan Moisés Meléndez. The left-hander arrived at the end of last week and already was on the roster for the weekend series against DOOR Neptunus. The 24-year-old spent four seasons in the Philadelphia Phillies organization. After his release in 2008 he joined the independent league circuit. Luque had an ERA of 3.17 in 54 innings for HCAW last year. However he decided not to return and will instead play in Panama.
