The Cincinnati Reds have promoted German outfielder/first baseman Donald Lutz from the Double-A Pensacola Blue Wahoos to the Triple-A Louisville Bats. The 25-year-old was batting .360 in the Southern League including his third cycle of his Minor League career a couple of weeks ago. An earlier promotion probably was delayed due to a hamstring injury. He already debuted during the weekend, going 0-for-3 with a walk and a run in two games. Lutz is the second German player in Triple-A besides catcher Kai Gronauer of the New York Mets.
